MoFoCo minutes:
Beals heads group, (including Willie G & Charlie Thompson and other HD execs), signing letter of intent to buy HD from AMF.
6/16/81, they are successful. [If I wore hats, I'd take it off to them.
Somebody loan me a hat.]
HD shareholders have a celebratory ride from York to Milwakee.
Close to 200 clerical positions are eliminated.
" The Eagle Sores Alone" slogan is born.
A gold dipstick is inserted by Beals into the 1st non-AMF bike, in York.

Racing:
Grand National - Mike Kidd takes 1st, Gary Scott takes 2nd, Randy Goss takes 3rd, [that's Goss, not Moss ;^) ].
