HD tidbits from '62
[ Another Tombstone. ]
This year saw the "Tombstone" style speedometer on the Duo-Glides and
Servi-cars, w/brushed aluminum center in tombstone shape, and various
other brushed aluminum components.
Also new is the Scat and Ranger singles.
Also appearing in '62 was the XLR, which was a very limited production
version of the XLCH for TT racing. It was stripped and ran ball bearings
at the crankshaft ends and different heads, flywheels, cams, pistons and
valves. Tuner Mark Brelsford made these engines good for about 80hp.

Servi-car, [wander if they'll bite].

-Bart Markel wins AMA Grand National Championship.
-Carroll Resweber takes 2nd in Grand National Championship.
