HD tidbits from '28
[ Ever wanted to do twins? ]

HD offered Twin Cams for the first time in production, (for sale),
models, (some racing bikes had already used them). This came as a
response to popularity of the Indian Powerplus and 4-cylinder Excelsior.
HD decided the public wanted more power.
The twin cam models offered higher rpm's, direct valve gear, tappets,
larger cooling fins, domed pistons and almost 30 horses @ 4,000 rpm.

The J model would be the first to see a front brake. [Apparently, no
that people could cruise faster, the idea of being able to stop, became
an issue worth discussing at HD].
