[Horizontal farewell.]
Olive drab returns.
The specialty models become the main models, as the horizontally opposed models are now off the line. Grease fittings on the running gear, more prominent fender ridges, stronger front forks, new exhaust pipes and larger batteries, (four plates), and generators are amoung the changes. For one year, there will be 12 Alemite grease fittings and a square muffler.
Late in the year bhp is increased with a valve train upgrade to the Two
Cam Racers, (direct lobe valve action, hollow pushrods, roller tappets,
removable lifter blocks). [Any of these sound familiar??].
