"We've found the weapons of mass destruction. You know, we found biological laboratories . . . . And we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong. We found them." Supreme Resident - Polish TV
An official British investigation into two trailers found in northern Iraq has concluded they are not mobile germ warfare labs, as was claimed by Tony Blair and President George Bush, but were for the production of hydrogen to fill artillery balloons, as the Iraqis have continued to insist.

Memo For: President Bush Re: War on Iraq
The lies of our leaders
Americans believe it's no longer important to tell the truth
By John Kaminski
President Bush and virtually the entire American power structure lied to the whole world when they said Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction that were an imminent threat to the safety of the so-called free world.
Now beyond any doubt, these assertions have since been exposed as falsehoods. Still, few Americans really give a damn, and business goes on, in the foreshadow of a massive worldwide economic collapse, as usual.
President Bush and virtually the entire American power structure lied when they said we needed to invade Afghanistan to bring to justice the alleged perpetrators of the 9/11 horror. Shortly after the invasion began, Gen. Tommy Franks announced it wasn't important to capture the so-called ringleader, Osama bin Laden, even as the Afghanis' Taliban government offered to furnish him for trial in a neutral country. The real objective, Franks said during the attack, was to subdue the whole country.
With the fictional al-Qaeda network still being used as a pretext for permanent war against the entire world by the United States and bin Laden still uncaptured, it has become obvious to everyone that the reason for obliterating Afghanistan with nuclear weapons and murdering tens of thousands of innocent people was something other than capturing a suspected terrorist, although none of us are quite sure what that reason was. Talk of Enron, oil pipelines and geopolitical strategies are generally censored from the television news.
The situation is identical is Iraq. What was the purpose of blasting several thousand innocents into heaven when the situation it produced is actually more of a threat to our security than was the continued dictatorship of Saddam Hussein? None of us are quite sure what that reason was, although we all have our favorite suspicions: oil, Israel, expenditure of military stockpiles and creation of lucrative contracts for corporate supporters of the war machine to revive a disintegrating American economy.
Those two lies - justifying depraved mass murder in two defenseless countries - now stand as the ranking horrors in American history. In the 227 years of our history, from the smallpox blankets of Colonial days to Waco, America has done nothing worse (although many military adventures, notably the Philippines in 1899 and Vietnam in the the 1960s, were almost as bad and unjustifiable).
But the real question as America sinks into the suffocating hell of a totalitarian dictatorship is this.
If our leaders have been proved to be liars about the sick and sinful destruction of humanity in Afghanistan and Iraq, why do a majority of Americans still accept what these same lying leaders said about the 9/11 atrocity, that it was the work of foreign terrorists who envied our freedom! As Gerard Holmgren once so aptly said, this is the most ridiculous of all conspiracy theories to believe.
To a special few, responsibility for the 9/11 butchery has always been obvious. Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote about the need for it in a book, and the Republican-dominated Project for a New American Century recommended it as a desirable event for achieving its goals.
But most simpleton Americans are afraid to even contemplate such a frightening possibility. They would prefer to believe the lie, without really realizing what will happen to them if they do.
In the history of the world, there has never been a bigger lie than 9/11, yet most Americans still cling in closed-minded terror to the official story, swallow their pride at airports as minimum-wage fascists probe their private parts, stick flag decals on their cars in hopes they won't be pulled over and jailed for something they don't expect by Ashcroft's new stormtroopers, and watch in numbed banality as the official government investigation begins by saying they already know who did it, so there's no sense investigating that.
Americans have swallowed the lie whole-hog that we need to beef up security because there are terrorists in our midst, when the obvious fact is that the terrorists reside in Washington, and are terrorizing the whole world, with the eager help of your neighbors, the corrupt local police and corrupt local judges, who accept what their superiors order them to do just as the guards at Auschwitz did.
Let that one roll through your mind: American cops are now just the guards at Auschwitz, participating in the elimination of all those who won't participate in the American master plan of enslaving the world. Can you say death chamber at Guantanamo with no real trial?
How can this possibly be happening? How can Americans have gone brain-dead all at once? It didn't happen overnight, I can tell you. From the Kennedy assassination onward, Americans have been conditioned to accept phony excuses for political crimes as protests and questions are all blunted in a mind-numbing miasma of bureaucratic mazes. So everyone gave up trying to ask questions, and rationalized their indifference as not critical to my survival. Time to guess again.
Even more disturbing than the murderous plans of Bush and his petronazi gang of Zionist manipulators is the silent acquiescence of the so-called opposition. These "liberal" Democrats CREATED the Patriot Act, which castrates our Constitution. These gutless bureaucrats, ever mindful of the need to attract corporate campaign contributions, went along with Bush's invasions for fear of losing the votes of mindless, flag-waving fascist Americans.
Consider the Democratic opposition for a moment: Hillary Clinton, Kerry, Lieberman, Gephardt, Edwards, Dean, Mosely-Braun, Sharpton - all but one of the Democratic candidates BACKED the military moves of Bush. And all of them - no exceptions - endorse the lies we have been told about 9/11, as well as the fiction that Israel is a benevolent democracy.
I get a big laugh out of all these calls for petitions on various issues. Ha. And the same goes double for all this talk about the next election. Ha ha. The elections of 2000 proved Americans no longer have elections. It doesn't matter who you vote for. Who they want to win will win, and they have both the technological expertise and the cash on hand to make it happen. Just ask any Supreme Court justice.
Take your presidential candidate and stuff him. The American system of democracy is dead. The presidential campaign is a sideshow to delude the American populace into thinking they still have choice about what happens.
Bulletin: they don't.
No one in Congress is telling the truth (OK, you might find one or two who are telling the truth about SOME things, one less without Paul Wellstone, who was clearly murdered).
No candidate for any office anywhere in the United States is saying that 9/11 was a hoax, a cynical gambit to scare the American people into accepting police state measures. That's why no candidate now running for any office is telling the truth.
No one who thinks of running public office can seriously entertain the notion they can fix anything. Because to fix anything, you have to dig into the big problems that keep the war machine afloat, principally the pervasive influence of Judaism and Zionism, which have fatally infected most of the societies in the world with their manipulative brand of behavioral bullshit, and undermined morality everywhere. When morality is relative, evil prevails, because temptation and corruption are the human conditions.
No one running for public office will begin to address the obvious issue that 9/11 was aimed at defaming Muslims, thereby legitimizing two horrible American crimes: the Israeli genocide of the Palestinians, and the conquest of all the oil resources in the world.
And when the religions themselves have grown corrupt by their own power over people, there is no hope, anarchy follows and chaos triumphs. There is no hope. That is the situation we now face.
Eventually, after thousands of photos of bloodied bodies, after all the uteruses of our soldiers' wives are bleeding from the effects of radioactive ammunition, after you realize that one day you are out of money and there's nowhere to get more because the fat cats have stolen it all and surrounded themselves with Wackenhut wackos, you'll come to the realization about blame.
There's no real sense blaming Jews or Catholics, or oil executives or money launderers. We've done all this to ourselves, simply by not paying attention to what's actually happening.
It isn't Bush or Daschle who are the real scumbags, the real killers of innocent people in the pursuit of profit. It's nobody us but us, we the intelligent citizens of the world who failed to pay attention, or took a bribe, or looked the other way when we saw somebody doing something wrong because it was easier that way.
It is we who kept our mouths shut during all those scams, Vietnam, the savings and loan robbery, Waco, 9/11. We were too afraid to ask real questions, and thought we could get by waving our flags and going along with the crowd. But each new government atrocity got worse, right up through 9/11.
And, sadly, the worst has yet to come.
It's too late now. Nothing can be done. They can't be stopped. We waited too long. We waited until they had amassed their armies, their biological identification devices, their roadblocks, their internment camps for protesters, the death penalty in Oregon for protesting, their genetically modified food supply (guaranteeing billions of needless deaths), their aluminumization of our atmosphere, their privatization of our water, their shaping of our very brains through Zionist educational philosophies and Zionist entertainment programming until our minds were so zapped out on misleading trivialities that we couldn't even ask the most basic question of all anymore.
Which is this.
Why couldn't we see this would happen because we didn't pay attention to all those other horrors?
Why didn't we know you can't turn your back on the world, and expect the world to still be there when you turn back around?
There is no forgiveness, and no way to put things right without a massive bloodbath now. Which is just what they wanted, just what they practice. They've won. And we've lost.
But don't blame it on the lies of our leaders. Blame it on the lies we told - and are still telling - ourselves.

Were RACHEL CORRIE, IAN HOOK, TOM HUNDALL, CAOIMHE BUTTERLY, BRIAN AVERY MURDERED by ARIEL SHARON ?
Sunday, 17 June, at 22:15pm London Time on BBC1
Nearly 20 years ago the man who is now Israel's Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, sent Lebanese militiamen into the Palestine refugee camps of Sabra and Shatilla. When they left 36 hours later at least 800 people lay dead after a rampage of murder, torture and rape.
The massacre provoked international outrage. In Israel itself 400,000 people took to the streets in the largest demonstration the country had ever seen. Ariel Sharon was forced to resign as Israel's defence minister.
But he has maintained that he could not have foreseen the danger of a massacre in the camps. Fergal Keane investigates this claim, and talks to key witnesses and survivors of the massacre.
In the light of developments in international war crimes prosecutions the programme asks whether the evidence should lead to indictments for what happened in the camps.

I don't believe that the president deliberately lied to the public in an attempt to scare Americans into supporting his war. But it does look as if ideologues in the administration deceived themselves about Iraq's nuclear programs — and then deceived the American public as well.

NEW LAW OF SUPREME RESIDENT
Once upon a time, lived a Few and the Many...
One day the Many, tired of a Few always getting the best of everything by 'hook or crook', and seeing that such injustice represented a danger to the Whole, demanded justice...
A Few, yawning and stretching, said,"You would have to have Weapons of Mass Destruction, Satellites, Military, Air Force, and Navy, better than ours."
The Many, who were clever, devised a plan: that Somebody would go to the costume store, and get what was necessary to look like a Few...
When a Few saw the newcomer, noticing the new Few wasn't a match for them, and fearing competition, killed the new Few on the spot... before the indifferent look of the Many...
After killing the new Few, a Few gathered the Many and announced: "Today we have successfully eradicated one of the major threats to the peace and order in our World... Yes, a new Few, probably envious of us, attacked without warning...
Luckily --because you know how good suffering for the spirit is-- your sacrifice gave me GOD like strength... And yes, these mighty weapons were so useful to me that I finished that new Few off without a sweat...
Anyway, now it turns out that Many accomplices are roaming around and trying to attack us... So get ready for more suffering, restrictions, and maybe a catastrophe." But, of course, "there's a place for you in heaven..."
Meanwhile, one of the Many --who had been apathetic and refused to pay attention-- asked another: "What did he say?"
"I think he said something about a new Few," answered the other.
To which the first of Many replied:
Professionals in the intelligence community are livid about how the administration politicized the analysis of information.
Most telling, Iraq didn't use weapons of mass destruction (WMD). At worst, Iraq is accused of surreptitiously destroying weapons on the eve of war -- not exactly the stuff of which threats to the free world are made, but a convenient rationalization for the lack of evidence.
Meanwhile, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz is backpedaling from comments made last month that the administration settled on the WMD rationale out of bureaucratic convenience because it was ''the one issue that everyone could agree on.''
That remark, made without spin doctors present, shows the administration's cavalier attitude toward informed consent by the public. At every stage, the administration picked the most convenient rationale for war. First was the connection between Saddam and al-Qaeda; when that didn't pan out, it was the threat posed by Iraq's WMD. When they didn't turn up, it was liberating the Iraqi people.
While the public was distracted by this procession of justifications alternately taken up and conveniently abandoned, the real reasons never saw the light of day. Would Americans have supported a war for increased control of the Middle East and an American empire based on military domination? Bush administration officials who wanted war knew better than to ask.

On May 22, the state-federal conflict over medical marijuana heated up, as Maryland Gov. Robert Ehrlich defied White House pressure and became the first Republican governor to sign a medical marijuana bill. Meanwhile, on June 4, a federal court in California is scheduled to sentence Ed Rosenthal to at least five years in federal prison for the crime of providing medical marijuana to seriously ill people.
Rosenthal was convicted on January 31 of growing marijuana, but he was convicted by a jury that heard only half the story. When the jurors discovered the crucial facts that had been withheld from them, half of them took the extraordinary step of publicly renouncing their own verdict and apologizing to the man they had just convicted.
Juror Marney Craig wrote in the San Jose Mercury News, "Rosenthal's attorneys were not allowed to tell us the critical facts: He grew marijuana for use by people suffering from cancer, AIDS and other horrible diseases whose physicians had recommended it. ... I helped send a man to prison who does not belong there."

IT'S ONLY WORDS ?
CBS News has learned that barely five hours after American Airlines Flight 77 plowed into the Pentagon, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld was telling his aides to come up with plans for striking Iraq - even though there was no evidence linking Saddam Hussein to the attacks.
CBS News | Plans For Iraq Began On 9/11 | September 5, 2002 10:09:38
Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction.
Dick Cheney - August 26, 2002
Every day Saddam remains in power with chemical weapons, biological weapons, and the development of nuclear weapons is a day of danger for the United States.
Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-CT - September 4, 2002
If we wait for the danger to become clear, it could be too late.
Sen. Joseph Biden D-Del. - September 4, 2002
Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons.
George W. Bush - September 12, 2002
If he declares he has none, then we will know that Saddam Hussein is once again misleading the world.
Ari Fleischer - December 2, 2002
We know for a fact that there are weapons there.
Ari Fleischer - January 9, 2003
Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.
George W. Bush - January 28, 2003
We know that Saddam Hussein is determined to keep his weapons of mass destruction, is determined to make more.
Colin Powell - February 5, 2003
Iraq both poses a continuing threat to the national security of the United States and international peace and security in the Persian Gulf region and remains in material and unacceptable breach of its international obligations by, among other things, continuing to possess and develop a significant chemical and biological weapons capability, actively seeking a nuclear weapons capability, and supporting and harboring terrorist organizations.
Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY - February 5, 2003
We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons -- the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have.
George Bush - February 8, 2003
So has the strategic decision been made to disarm Iraq of its weapons of mass destruction by the leadership in Baghdad? I think our judgment has to be clearly not.
Colin Powell - March 8, 2003
Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.
George Bush - March 18, 2003
We are asked to accept Saddam decided to destroy those weapons. I say that such a claim is palpably absurd.
Tony Blair, Prime Minister - March 18, 2003
Well, there is no question that we have evidence and information that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical particularly . . . all this will be made clear in the course of the operation, for whatever duration it takes.
Ari Fleisher - March 21, 2003
There is no doubt that the regime of Saddam Hussein possesses weapons of mass destruction. As this operation continues, those weapons will be identified, found, along with the people who have produced them and who guard them.
Gen. Tommy Franks - March 22, 2003
One of our top objectives is to find and destroy the WMD. There are a number of sites.
Pentagon Spokeswoman Victoria Clark - March 22, 2003
I have no doubt we're going to find big stores of weapons of mass destruction.
Kenneth Adelman, Defense Policy Board - March 23, 2003
We know where they are. They are in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad.
Donald Rumsfeld - March 30, 2003
Saddam's removal is necessary to eradicate the threat from his weapons of mass destruction
Jack Straw, Foreign Secretary - April 2, 2003
Obviously the administration intends to publicize all the weapons of mass destruction U.S. forces find -- and there will be plenty.
Neocon scholar Robert Kagan - April 9, 2003
I think you have always heard, and you continue to hear from officials, a measure of high confidence that, indeed, the weapons of mass destruction will be found.
Ari Fleischer - April 10, 2003
We are learning more as we interrogate or have discussions with Iraqi scientists and people within the Iraqi structure, that perhaps he destroyed some, perhaps he dispersed some. And so we will find them.
George Bush - April 24, 2003
There are people who in large measure have information that we need . . . so that we can track down the weapons of mass destruction in that country.
Donald Rumsfeld - April 25, 2003
Before people crow about the absence of weapons of mass destruction, I suggest they wait a bit.
Tony Blair - April 28, 2003
We'll find them. It'll be a matter of time to do so.
George Bush - May 3, 2003
I am confident that we will find evidence that makes it clear he had weapons of mass destruction.
Colin Powell - May 4, 2003
I never believed that we'd just tumble over weapons of mass destruction in that country.
Donald Rumsfeld - May 4, 2003
I'm not surprised if we begin to uncover the weapons program of Saddam Hussein -- because he had a weapons program.
George W. Bush - May 6, 2003
U.S. officials never expected that "we were going to open garages and find" weapons of mass destruction.
Condoleeza Rice - May 12, 2003
I just don't know whether it was all destroyed years ago -- I mean, there's no question that there were chemical weapons years ago -- whether they were destroyed right before the war, (or) whether they're still hidden.
Maj. Gen. David Petraeus, Commander 101st Airborne - May 13, 2003
Before the war, there's no doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, biological and chemical. I expected them to be found. I still expect them to be found.
Gen. Michael Hagee, Commandant of the Marine Corps - May 21, 2003
Given time, given the number of prisoners now that we're interrogating, I'm confident that we're going to find weapons of mass destruction.
Gen. Richard Myers, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff - May 26, 2003
They may have had time to destroy them, and I don't know the answer.
Donald Rumsfeld - May 27, 2003
For bureaucratic reasons, we settled on one issue, weapons of mass destruction (as justification for invading Iraq) because it was the one reason everyone could agree on.
Paul Wolfowitz - May 28, 2003

As a retired Naval Officer, with two Gulf carrier deployments under my belt, I find your criticism of President Bush's visit to the Lincoln offensive in the extreme!
This is the first time that the Commander-in-Chief took time out of his busy wartime schedule to pay a visit to thank those who served in the line of fire, in way that was both dramatic and meaningful to those on the carrier. Perhaps if LBJ got off his fat a** to do something similar, our troops' morale in Vietnam might not have been so low.
As a Naval officer, I am extremely sensitive to styles of leadership. That is, after all, our stock in trade. And it was not lost on me that the President spent about thirty seconds shaking hands with the Admiral, CO, and CAG (If you don't know these abbreviations just look them up in your Funk & Wagnalls!). He then spent the next forty-five minutes putting himself at the disposal of the people who make that ship work, the yellow shirts, the green shirts, the purple shirts, the chiefs, the sailors. If you don't know the significance of those colored shirts, look it up in your Blue Jacket's Manual.
Not dressed out in formal uniform (I understand at Bush's request), but in their greasy, smelly, sweaty working uniforms ... working a flight deck is hot, hard work. And yet he, in his flight suit, put himself at their disposal, this was their moment for 19 or 20 something year old kids a few years out of high school, to get a picture of themselves with the President of the United States, his arm draped around their shoulder. That is a moment that those kids never dreamed would ever happen to them, maybe not even when they knew he was coming aboard. Surely, he would see the brass, not the troops. But it was the troops to whom he gave his time ... and it was the most natural moment in the world. You might have thought it was a family reunion, and in a way, it was... Bush is one of them, the common man, and while he is still the most powerful man on the planet right now, he hasn't lost his touch for them.
Was it a political moment? What moment of a president's life is NOT a political moment? Was it grand standing, to come in to an OK pass to a 4 wire, a bit high in close, correcting, left of centerline? Well, hell, he didn't fly the approach anyway, though I understand from the pilots who flew him that he did a pretty good job at formation flying, tucked in close for a lead change. You can always tell a fighter pilot, you just can't tell him very much. And apparently after thirty years, it all comes back, with a little coaching, I am sure.
Frankly, I would have liked to see him come aboard in an FA-18, but the Secret Service vetoed that, and Bush accepted their judgment ... again, a mark of a good leader.
If you had spent some time in the service, instead of the Klan, you might understand the significance of that moment to all the men and women aboard the Lincoln, and indeed to all the men and women in the service who shared that moment vicariously. But you chose the bedsheet instead of the uniform, and so you don't.
I am half-tempted to move to West Virginia just so I could vote against you in your next election.
Lewis F. McIntyre CDR, USN (Ret)
